**************************** OSDL Conduit **************************** The OSDL Conduit was created to help aid in the process of testing Kernel patches and hardening results in order to solidify the need for a given patch. Basic Information: - The OSDL conduit can be obtained at the following tarball: http://developer.osdl.org/ogasawara/osdl_conduit/ all-in-one series patch: http://developer.osdl.org/ogasawara/osdl_conduit/ - Patches are to be submitted to the OSDL conduit mailing list linux-osdl@lists.osdl.org - Patches should apply cleanly against latest Kernel tree and follow the standard Kernel patch submission policies. - i.e. One patch per email with explanation for patch - Patch is to be submitted in plain text mode - Patch has proper spacing and format - see linux/Documentation/SubmittingPatches for more details - We must have at least 2 members committed to test. - If no commitments to test are made, patch will not be merged. - Results of tests (until a more suitable location can be found) will be publicly available at: http://developer.osdl.org/ogasawara/osdl_conduit - The conduit will be evaluated quarterly for usage and follow through with test results. It will be terminated if exposure to patches is coming from other conduits, if patch submissions do not meet the criteria, or if the conduit is not used reasonably by our member companies for testing.
